A Comprehensive Plan

A comprehensive financial plan starts with identifying and analysing your current financial circumstances, goals, objectives and values. This enables us to develop the most appropriate planning scenarios that are required to implement and monitor our highly effective financial planning strategies. The plan is continually monitored and reviewed to ensure that you are on track to meet your goals.

Our comprehensive fee-based approach will focus on your specific needs and values, not on specific products. We will assist you in identifying and addressing the many issues pertaining to your personal financial situation and help coordinate those areas, giving you a well-balanced strategy for the future. Areas of our analysis include:

  • Cash flow management
  • Tax planning
  • Estate planning
  • Investment planning
  • Retirement planning
  • Risk management
  • Savings plan
  • Business continuation planning

The first step in personal financial planning is controlling your day-to-day financial affairs so that you can do the things that bring you satisfaction and help you reach your goals. This is achieved by planning and following a budget. Controlling spending, saving money, and investing for the future are all important aspects of financial planning, but those things mean nothing if you don’t have specific goals that you’re trying to reach. In order to gauge your financial success, you need to have goals so that you can measure your success.

The Financial Planning Process

STEP 1 – Initial Meeting: The initial discussion will be a fact-finding session for us to become totally familiar with your current financial situation. We would like to understand your financial goals, your values, your concerns and your plans for achieving financial health. We’ll ask you a series of planning and value questions, and based on your answers, help you determine what’s important to you. This conversation is also our chance to make sure that you’re committed to achieving financial health for you and your family.

STEP 2 – Details Meeting: Now that we know more about you, we’ll help you make decisions about each piece of your planning puzzle. Together we will design a plan that considers your goals, values, concerns and dreams and come up with a solution that you are comfortable with. Once an appropriate scenario has been reached, we will use this detail and information to incorporate in your plan.

STEP 3 – Plan Creation: Your financial plan is prepared which incorporates your current situation, identifies all areas that will be impacted, and makes specific goal-oriented recommendations. Recognizing our ever-changing tax environment, we also work to assure that you are positioned in the most effective manner relative to your personal tax situation. Each recommendation in our analysis is then thoroughly reviewed with you to confirm your understanding and support of each recommendation.

STEP 4 – Implementation of your Financial Plan: We actively assist in the full implementation of every plan recommendation.

STEP 5 – Life and Plan Review: During our review meetings, we will revisit your plan and talk with you about any changes that have occurred in your life. Based on those changes, we will make recommendations for adjustments to the plan to make sure that it continually meets your needs, goals and values.
